The process is pretty simply. We start by detailing the entire boat to remove all contaminants. We chemically remove any hard water spots, then clay the gel coat to ensure the surface is ready for polishing. We then correct the gel coat finish to remove any oxidation and defects. The boat is then wiped down with a precoat cleaner to ensure all traces of prior waxes, sealants, dressings are completely removed, giving the coating a perfectly clean surface to adhere to. Finally, we apply two coats of IGL Marine boat nano ceramic coating to all the accessible gel coat surfaces, allowing proper curing times between coats. The coating will be cured to the touch when it leaves and fully cured in 2-4 days depending on the weather, so plan your job accordingly.
